Why this?

I am 18 years old. You might be asking what an 18-year-old is doing writing a blog on self-improvement and I understand the apprehension, as I am barely considered an adult in the state of California. I can’t drink, I can’t smoke, I don’t know much about life, and I have had relatively few experiences, especially when compared to someone twice my age, but, hey, at least I can vote! Still, I have a pretty valid reason for deciding to make this a recurring theme in my writings…

No matter how young or old one might be, we are all growing, ever single day. Growth and improvement is one of the most important things a person can do. And, growth and improvement can cover a very broad spectrum of things. We grow and age physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, we can improve all of these areas in our life too. So, I am starting this blog, not because I am an expert on growth and self-improvement, but because I know that I have a lot of growing and improving to do, therefore, I will have a lot to write about.

The written word has been an amazing way to create billions of connections between the author and their readers since the beginning of time. I know that we are all on the same boat, just trying to survive our days, trying to not end up as terrible people, and hopefully find happiness and meaning in our life along the way. It would be nice to build a connection between me and my readers, and I hope you all are able to enjoy and relate to my posts. Thank-you for reading:)
